Cedar House offers a variety of services, including withdrawal management, residential treatment, medication-assisted treatment, Maple House Women with Children, Sanctuary House Sober Living, treatment for co-occurring disorders, outpatient treatment, recovery services, and an Alumni Association.
You should bring 7 days' worth of clothing. We have someone who will do your laundry weekly. Although we provide hygiene items, such as a toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, and shampoo, you are more than welcome to bring your own. We also provide a pillow and bedding, but you can bring your own if you like.
You will get served 3 well-balanced meals per day, so you don’t necessarily need money. However, we do have vending machines and pay phones, so you may want to bring money or purchase a calling card for the phones.
Visiting is on Saturdays from 9am-12pm.
For residential treatment, we use the Living in Balance Curriculum by Hazelden and for Outpatient we use the Matrix Model. We have also integrated several other evidence-based curriculum.
In residential treatment we have Relapse Prevention, Anger Management, Medical Aspects, Parenting, Step-Study, Core Process Groups and Co-occurring Disorders group.
Yes, we have three Licensed Marriage & Family Therapists who are available to conduct assessments or individual therapy when necessary. Our LMFT’s facilitate a Seeking Safety Process Group where clients can discuss sensitive issues in a safe and caring environment.
Yes, we currently have one 12-step meeting per week, and we are planning to add more.
Yes, your family can bring fast food or even a home cooked meal during visiting. We just ask that you clean up your mess when you’re done.
Yes, we have two gyms, one for men and one for women. They are open in the mornings and in the evenings to fit everyone’s schedule.
Yes, there is a 5-day blackout where you will be unable to make or receive any phone calls.
Yes, we have family group at our main location as well as our perinatal location every other Monday except for holidays from 6pm-7:30pm. You will be in group with other families, but it is a safe environment to work through family related issues. This group is facilitated by a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist.
We do not allow any electronics in the facility, such as cell phones, tablets, or laptops. We have pay phones for you to make calls. If you do not have any money, you can always use your assigned counselor's phone.
Yes, we have designated smoking areas outside. If you vape, we ask that your vape juices be in sealed bottles so we can confirm its contents.
Property can be dropped off at the facility Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm. (no exceptions)
