In 1973, nine men from Fontana, Riverside and Upland signed on as the first Board of Trustees for Amigo House. Located in Bloomington, California, this 12-bed residential program was founded “to provide an environment where men who are suffering from alcoholism can be detoxified, treated, counseled and educated on the dangers of alcoholism and human behavior of problem drinkers.”
Today, more than 50 years later, Cedar House Life Change Center has grown into a multi-site, full service provider in the battle against addiction. Strategically positioned in San Bernardino and Riverside Counties, we provide lifesaving and life-changing treatment for adults struggling with substance use and co-occurring disorders. Our withdrawal management, residential, perinatal, and outpatient services are proudly accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). We are able to provide care for individuals covered by Medi-Cal and private insurance. Cedar House remains on the forefront of addiction treatment using the most current, evidence-based practices.
