Oasis House, a subsidiary of CHLCC, is located in Apple Valley, CA, and provides transitional housing and guidance to Transitional Age Youth (TAY) (ages 18-25) and operates in partnership with the Faith Advisory Council for Community Transformation (FACCT), a 501c3. Currently, Oasis House provides housing and meals to residents as they access services in the local community. Oasis House, in addition, offers support services on grounds such as educational guidance, job skills training, learn independent living skills; mentorship, and much more.
Cedar House is seeking a highly motivated individual who can join the Oasis House Team as a part-time House Manager who can assist the program in bringing to pass the vision of a highly desirable placement where homeless youth who need assistance can find the support and guidance they need to become living wage earners and self-sustaining productive adults in the community.
The qualified candidate will have a wealth of experience working with young adults and providing mentorship in a service-oriented environment. The responsibilities of a House Manager include the following:
· Maintain a safe and sanitary living environment
· Resolve conflict among residents as needed
· Document and report client’s observed behavior
· Provide oversight general operations of home, including but not limited to:
o Meal preparation
o Assisting participants with activities of daily living responsibilities (hygiene, bed making, maintaining appointment)
o Maintain inventory of housing supplies
· Other duties as assigned or required
