JOB DESCRIPTION 

Job Title: Receptionist

Exempt/Nonexempt: This is a non-exempt position 

Full Time/Part Time: This is a part-time position.

At-Will Status: This is an At-Will position meaning that either the employer or employee may terminate the employment relationship at their pleasure.

Reports To: Admission Coordinator 


MISSION STATEMENT

Social Science Services (SSS) Inc., dba Cedar House Life Change Center (CHLCC) is dedicated to improving the lives of those suffering from chemical dependency by providing high quality, evidence-based therapeutic clinical treatment services with a full a continuum of care while educating and engaging the community through open communication and outreach activities. What started as a small 12-bed alcohol treatment facility for men in 1973, named “Amigo House”, is now a multi-facility, treatment and housing organization providing a full continuum of services dedicated to assist all adults in overcoming the challenges of chemical dependence in order to create “A Total Life Change.” CHLCC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation centrally located to serve the Inland Empire and is Medi-cal certified. In an effort to match the needs of the culturally diverse population served, CHLCC employs a culturally diverse staff of highly skilled professionals. All of CHLCC’s programs are licensed by the State of California Department of Health Care Services.  


DUTY STATEMENT AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Will maintain a professional environment
  • Will intercept and direct all incoming phone calls in a professional manner
  • Will distribute all interoffice Memos and all incoming mail
  • Will maintain current knowledge of all telephone policies and procedures
  • Will work with Client Care Specialist with intake of new clients
  • Will assist in closing client files and scanning into Doc Star
  • Will check data scanned in to ensure proper transfer of file
  • Will cross train with Admission Dept.
  • Will maintain documentation of all activities and transactions
  • Will receive all incoming packages and monies
  • And such other duties and/or responsibilities as are assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Will have past work experience with Receptionist/office duties
  • Will have completed a minimum of 12 of education or GED
  • Will have an understanding of the nature of chemical dependency
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills maintaining productive working relationships with staff
  • An understanding of government contracts and agencies 
  • Resourcefulness, creativity, and strong problem-solving skills

This is a part-time, hourly position, salary to be commensurate with experience.
