On December 7, 2018, Cedar House Life Change Center and the Faith Advisory Council for Community Transformation (F.A.C.C.T.) hosted a Grand Opening of Oasis House in the High Desert. Oasis House provides housing and resources for Transitional Age Youth (TAY) in the High Desert area. More than fifty guests from various community organizations and government agencies assembled at the five-acre property in Apple Valley to learn about the program’s accomplishments thus far and plans for its future.
Friday, January 25 was Cedar House Night at the Ontario Reign game. Several of our staff, clients and supporters came out to hold the American flag during the National Anthem and enjoy a fun night of hockey.

We are pleased to announce that Cedar House is the recipient of a $10,000 grant from The Community Foundation, Strengthening Inland Southern California Through Philanthropy, for our Maple House Women with Children Program to support alcohol and drug abuse recovery.

Our 2nd Annual Cedar House Golf Classic was a success thanks to our sponsors, volunteers and a very generous group of golfers helping us raise a net profit of $10,000. With a fun atmosphere plus a nice mix of contests, prizes, food, drinks and auction items, everyone had a great day and supported a wonderful cause.
September is Recovery Month, and Cedar House got involved in the celebration at Recovery Happens in Riverside on September 14 and in San Bernardino on September 29.
Several members of the Cedar House staff and their families participated in the Homeboy Industries 5K on Saturday, September 22 in Los Angeles.
Volunteers from UPS and Burning Bush Church worked alongside Cedar House staff, board members and clients to get ready to welcome more Transitional Age Youth to Oasis House.

One year ago on October 25, Cedar House was blessed with the addition of Jamie Lamb as Chief Executive Officer. Looking back at the past year, it is clear that Lamb has made a powerful impact on the organization.
Cedar House is partnering with Wells Fargo to provide a Financial Literacy Course for our clients. Classes will take place on Thursdays once a month from 1-2:30 p.m. and will cover the basics of financial planning with an emphasis on personal budgeting.

Cedar House is now offering a FREE Aftercare Group twice a month for graduates of various treatment programs to discuss life after treatment and ways Cedar House can help clients continue on the right path after recovery.
